I'm planning to post 3 boishakhi looks
1.Traditional (saree)
2. Trendy (saree)
3. Casual (Salwar Kamiz)
So this is the 1st post of the series, It's traditional boishakhi look! Traditionally boishakh is about red, so the highlighted color of this look will be red of course.
Saree: Tangail, taat, block, hand paint, normal printed cotton, jamdani...
This is what I found in my closet :p
As u all know the pohela boishakh typically is a hot day, with lotta humidity, and lotta dust in air, so u should prepare for that. To get a makeup base which will sustain all day long is the toughest challenge. Again as we leave home pretty early to attend the programs, so I think a very quick makeup process is needed for all.
The steps I'll follow:
1. keep some ice cubes in fridge at the previous night, after cleaning the face with facewash, rub ice-cube on face for 5 minutes.
2. If u have a primer , prime ur face well. or use a moisturizer.
3. conceal the spots nicely, as in the next step I'm suggesting a very light coverage foundation,so concealing what u need to do perfectly.
4. after u finish with concealer, get a little amount of liquid foundation, apply it on ur face and blend, just the minimum quantity to have a light coverage.
5. After applying foundation , use ur compact with a powder puff, dab it on face to set the foundation n concealer, and get a smooth finish.
6. If u have a makeup setting spray, spray it on the puff or a brush, and apply on face to lock the makeup from melting down in sun.
7. After u r done with base, do a natural eye makeup, use basic brown shade, and black to get a natural eyelook, try to make it matte, as shimmer in daylight doesnot look good. lining ur eye perfectly is the secret of a clean eyelook!
8. Use a red matte lipstick. Line ur lip to get a sharp look.
Contour the cheekbone area with a matte bronzer, use a peachy blush if u want to highlight the cheek.
9. I suggest to tie ur hair with any hairstyle, as loose hair can ends up being super messy with all the dust and sweat.
But if u think U can manage then u can go with open hair.
10. U r a "red" bindi away from a perfect look now :p So wear a red bindi, whatever size u want, I prefer the big ones.
Wear some traditional ornaments and dozens of red kacher churi if possible! and u'r done! :)
Here's my demo look photos:
What do U think about this natural eyelook? Should I do a pictorial humm?
And this is how I wore the saree, though u can pin-up the "anchal", That way it'll be easy to control it throughout the day!
And another snap:
Here is the eyelook:
Hope U'll like my traditional boishakhi look!
Let me know if there is any inquiry :)
